Big Star

This design is just a big star! First, do a C10. Call one of the points where 10 lines meet the "top", and the one diametrically opposite the "bottom".

You will use 3 colors of thread to do this design. Let's just call them "blue", "brown", and "yellow" (to match the pictures above). The easiest way to know where to start is to notice the pentagram that surrounds the top of the ball.

You will start (with the brown) where one of the lines intersects a side. Follow the edge of the pentagram down (in a straight line). You will pass a 6 line intersection, and a 10 line intersection. You'll be doing the turn at the 2nd 10 line intersection you come across. It's a very sharp turn! You'll be going up the very next line back up across the middle of the top to the middle of a side of the pentagon. Repeat 5 times. You can see from the diagram that this image is just a big star! When you have done 1 round on top, do 1 round on the bottom (in the same way) with the blue. Notice how the two lines will cross (refer to 2nd diagram on the left).

Do 4-7 rounds with the first two colors. Alternating between top and bottom, but using the same color you used in the previous round (on that side). When you are done, use your third color on both sides. Finally switch the colors (so you use the color from the top on the bottom, and the color from the bottom on the top. So 4 rounds of brown on the top , followed by 1 round of yellow, then 1 round of blue. And 4 rounds of blue on the bottom , followed by 1 round of yellow, then 1 round of brown.

That's it! You're done!
